Steinmühlen Students Compete Successfully in the City Soccer Tournament
Two soccer teams from Steinmühle participated in the city-level soccer competition—”Youth Trains for the Olympics”—on September 25, 2014, at the Georg-Gaßmann Stadium in Marburg.
The WK II team (9th-grade students) finished in a solid 3rd place in a closely contested field. After a rough start and a loss in their first game, the team was able to significantly improve their performance, earning a tie and two convincing victories. The offense, in particular, impressed with a total of 13 goals.
In Division III (7th and 8th graders), the Steinmühlen team emerged victorious with two decisive wins. The team stood out for its cohesive team effort and versatile offensive play. Their reward is a spot in the district finals in Kirchhain.
