plus-MINT – With Talent and Passion

Particularly talented students with a gift and passion for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or technology (MINT) receive special support at plus-MINT boarding schools specifically selected for this purpose.
One of these selected plus-MINT boarding schools is Steinmühle!

Not "strange" at all

Young people who are so interested in mathematics, science, or technology that they spend part of their free time exploring these subjects are sometimes viewed as “special” or even “strange” in some schools. This kind of emotional labeling doesn’t happen at Steinmühle, since our “MINTis” are an integral part of our school and boarding school. We’re incredibly proud of them!

Who is eligible to apply for plus-MINT?

Students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in STEM fields, who have already successfully participated in STEM competitions, who are involved in extracurricular STEM clubs, and who show a strong commitment to STEM topics are eligible to apply.

All information about the program is clearly presented at https://plus-mint.de.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Steinmühle at any time.

How do teachers provide support?

An entire team of teachers, coordinated by Dr. Jutta Töhl-Borsdorf, is on hand to guide interested teenagers and young adults through science-based projects and research questions.

In superbly equipped classrooms—which are currently undergoing further expansion—the teaching staff guides students in programs such as “Jugend forscht,” “Chemie mach mit,” and math competitions. Students at Steinmühle regularly qualify for state- or even national-level competitions and are frequently found in the final rounds.
