The Steinmühle Rural School Camp is in full swing …
… with five (!) relay teams at the Marburg Night Marathon. World Cup quarterfinal or not—for our runners, there was no doubt on July 4, 2014: “Of course we’re running in the Night Marathon; soccer can wait.” With five relay teams, our school set a record for the number of participants. Each runner had to cover between 10 and 11 km, and fortunately, everyone “finished” the race. Principal Gemmer and Managing Director Konnertz set a good example.
- Our fastest relay team—Fabian Flach, Phine Schütt, Lorena Heinemann, and Ruben Kuhn—crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 38 minutes, and 43 seconds.
- Our second-fastest relay team—featuring Adrian Hamel, Kiara Korbmachen, Malte Schweitzer, and Nici Mägerlein (not pictured)—crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 40 minutes, and 20 seconds.
- Our fastest teachers’ relay team—featuring Siiri Wienbeck, Dirk Konnertz, Mirko Radatz, and Lidia Lichtenwald—crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 42 minutes, and 18 seconds.
- The relay team with the highest average age—featuring Andreas Heiske, Olaf Schubert, Björn Gemmer, and Frank Wemme—crossed the finish line after 3 hours, 47 minutes, and 49 seconds.
- The goal was to finish, and Markus Krenzer, Claudia Natterer, Ines Vielhaben, and Claudia Röder (not pictured) achieved that goal in 4 hours, 21 minutes, and 46 seconds.
