Graduation in Grade 10

The intended graduation IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is an internationally acknowledged school certificate from the UK. The Cambridge IGCSE is one of the most popular international school qualifications for students aged 14 to 16. It is offered by about 6100 schools in more than 145 countries worldwide.

The final exams are centrally conducted by Cambridge. At the International School Steinmühle exams in 5 subjects are required. The examination subjects are English as a First Language, German, History, Combined Science, and Mathematics. Every subject needs to be passed with a C or above.*

The graduation is comparable to the “Mittlere Reife” (Realschulabschluss) in Germany and is recognized by Hesse. It is also the entry requirement for subsequent international degrees, e.g. A-levels or IB (International Baccalaureate).

Of course, pupils can attend the Steinmühle senior classes after (successfully) taking their IGCSE exams. The international school education also offers the opportunity to achieve the certificate Hesse International Abitur at the Steinmühle Gymnasium.
