Terms of contract for the Steinmühle Bilingual Primary School
1. General
The Steinmühle bilingual primary school is a nationally accredited private school. The school is under the trusteeship of the Steinmühle Marburg e.V., Steinmühlenweg 21, 35043 Marburg – represented by the executive board Egon Vaupel and Gerhard Müller. (VR 730 – registered with the Marburg District Court).
2. Schooling Contract
Admission of pupils to the Steinmühle Bilingual Primary School is possible if applications for admission are submitted in writing to the school administration by parents or other legal guardians. The principal decides on the admission.
3. Terms of contract
- The contract is valid until the end of grade 4.
- The contractual relationship may be terminated by either contracting party with three months’ notice prior to 31st of July. Written submission of termination may take place no later than 30th of April. The principal exercises the right to terminate in accordance with the school board.
- If a student leaves the school without observing the notice period stated under b) the school is entitled to receive payment of school fees due until the end of the contract.
- Both parties may however declare a termination of contract in unusual circumstances and with good cause. Good cause may for example be the repeated violation of school rules. If a termination of contract becomes necessary due to a student’s behavior, the claim for payment by the school remains unaffected until the time at which the contractual relationship would have ended if the contractual notice periods had been adhered to.
- If a student is forced to leave the school during the school year according to valid school law conditions, the entire contractual relationship ends at the end of the month in which the legal impossibility of further school attendance is legally established and announced.
4. School Conditions
School conditions for state-accredited alternative schools are regulated by the paragraphs of the Hesse Education Act and the corresponding enactments. In order to be admitted to Steinmühle Bilingual Primary School the school legal requirements for admission must be met. Admission is conditional until the required measles immunization certificate has been submitted.
5. School Fees
- For the enrollment in the Steinmühle Bilingual Primary School a school fee, before-school care fee for supervision during the open beginning, and a meal contribution are to be paid. Please refer to our website for the current school fees.
- The school fee and meal contribution are due monthly. The amount is payable and due in advance at the beginning of a month. The school year starts on the 1st of August and ends on the 31st July of the following year. If a student enrolls during the school year, the annual fees will be reduced accordingly. Months that have started are calculated with 1/12 of the annual fee.
- The invoices are issued in two parts: 5/12 of the annual fee on the 1st of August and 7/12 of the annual fee on the 1st of January. Monthly payments can be made by direct debit or bank transfer.
- If the contracting party is in arrears of a payment that reaches or exceeds two monthly installments, the school is entitled to terminate the contract without prior notice. In this case also, the claim of payment remains unaffected until the usual timely end of contract.
- The school is entitled to adjust the school fees and the food contribution according to increased costs. Adjustments will be announced in a letter at least three months prior to taking effect.
