Olaf Schubert: He won’t miss the JP Morgan run
For the eighth consecutive year, Olaf Schubert, a chemistry, math, and computer science teacher at Steinmühle, competed in the JP Morgan Run in Frankfurt am Main. He did so wearing the jersey of the state of Hesse, as he has been seconded to the Hessian Ministry of Culture, Education, and Opportunities for years and performs valuable work on the Teacher and Student Database (LUSD). His participation—in which he has always finished the race—began in 2018 and, due to the pandemic, has seen only a single interruption to date, in 2020. Olaf Schubert and his LUSD colleague Frauke Kafitz from Weilburg are already a well-coordinated team.
The World’s Largest Corporate Running Series
More than 63,000 runners from a wide variety of companies and institutions took part in the 32nd edition of the world’s largest corporate running series (JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge) to tackle the 5.6-kilometer course through downtown Frankfurt together. For most, it’s less about performance and more about having fun.
Proceeds from the event traditionally benefit the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Germany and the German Youth Sports Association for People with Disabilities (DBSJ).
