The Story of Marie-Sophie
Discover your own strengths—and make the most of them!
If your main interests don’t lie in STEM, languages, or even sports—then the subject you’re truly “passionate” about might be PoWi—Politics and Economics! That’s exactly how it went for Marie-Sophie Künkel, and her passion for these subjects was recognized and encouraged at Steinmühle pretty quickly.
“Marie-Sophie was very enthusiastic and willing to stand up for what she loved.”
Political science became an exam subject for the Abitur and, from then on, dominated Marie-Sophie’s life. While studying law, Marie-Sophie—now a fully licensed attorney—remained actively and passively committed to politics, won over many voters, and is now a member of the Hessian State Parliament.
"My strengths were always encouraged—that’s how I gained self-confidence and matured even as a young person."
Marie-Sophie Künkel
A Steinmühlen high school graduate who majored in political science, now a fully licensed attorney and politician
