Carnival spirit with music and creative costumes
In a lively atmosphere and with great enthusiasm, the 5th and 6th graders at Steinmühlen celebrated Fasching again this year. After the 6th period on Altweiberfastnacht, it was time to put on costumes, apply makeup, and—as a class—select two matching costumes for the Carnival Costume Story! The procession of revelers began at 2:00 p.m. Then everyone danced together with the Sing & Swing club, the Carnival costume story was presented, and the Carnival Olympics took place, featuring a biathlon with running and target throwing as well as a three-legged race.
A disco and the much-anticipated Carnival snack, complete with french fries, followed right on the heels of the festivities. WU Sound & Light, led by Sam Kempkes and his team, provided the best music. The teachers not only coordinated the events perfectly but also joined the students in their own creative costumes.
