The Master Detective Visits the 7th Grade
The Audio Theater Marburg presents “The Devil’s Foot”
As part of the mystery project led by M. Lauginiger for 7th-grade classes, a reading of “Der Teufelsfuß” took place at the Steinmühle Forum on December 1, 2016. Stefan Gille and Daniel Sempf from Hörtheatrale Marburg presented a vivid and thrilling reading and performance of a spine-chilling story in which the protagonists, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, had to solve a mysterious case. This was very well received by the 7th-grade students.
About the Plot: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are on a vacation in Cornwall because the master detective has been prescribed some rest. But their rest is soon over: much to Dr. Watson’s chagrin, Holmes decides to take on the case of Brenda Tregennis, who has just been murdered. The investigation turns out to be very eventful, and many details must be pieced together to reach a conclusive solution—especially since another murder has occurred.
The students listened intently to the two detectives’ radio drama and rewarded the actors with thunderous applause.
