“Rowing in Schools” Certification Workshop at Steinmühle
From March 15–18, 2016, Steinmühle hosted teachers who wanted to earn their “rowing certification.” This event was organized by the State’s Central Training Institute for Physical Education Teachers (ZFS) under the direction of Martin Stromenger, our rowing coach, and Manfred Matzner from the Hessian Rowing Association. The 40 training sessions covered the theory and practice of school rowing: boat and equipment knowledge, safety in rowing, rowing and the environment, principles and practice of beginner training, legal foundations, and complementary sports activities (ergometers, fitness, etc.).
