Energy Forum 2015 — More Information Than Confrontation
It’s hard to say for certain whether this was because the CDU and the Greens had declined the invitation to participate in the “Energy Forum 2015” panel discussion. In any case, the participants in this year’s forum—Dr. Thoma Spies (SPD), Henning Köster (Die Linke), Thomas Madry (implementation manager for the district), and Holger Armbrüster (Stadtwerke Marburg) were in strong agreement regarding their analysis of the energy issues and their description of the necessary resources and measures.
Special thanks are due to Mr. Madry for his introductory presentation, in which he provided a clear description of the energy situation in the Marburg–Biedenkopf district. The remarks by the other panelists essentially showed that they share similar views on energy issues. As a result, opportunities for partisan political sparring remained largely unexploited.
It was only natural, then, that the 10th-grade students received more information than just opinions in response to their well-prepared questions.
