Stone Mill Olympics
Alongside this year’s Information Day on June 25—during which the boarding school and school administration advised prospective students about the boarding school—the boarding school community competed against one another in mixed small groups as part of the Steinmühlen Olympics. The competitions required skill, knowledge, athleticism, and a little bit of luck. There was plenty to do at every station, so everyone could showcase their individual strengths. In the obstacle course, the goal-wall shooting, the tea bag toss, the bottle cap catapult, the classic “Ruck Zuck,” and the digital game “Where Is the Place?,” the groups had to work together cooperatively to find solutions. During the final box-climbing challenge, the groups were able to rack up a good number of points once again. After the points were tallied and the excitement over the rankings grew, the evening could begin. The awards ceremony took place during the group barbecue that evening. With pleasant weather, we wrapped up the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
