New Director at the Boarding School

Effective January 15, 2015, Mr. Thomas Diehl (48) was appointed managing director of the boarding school.

A social and economic scientist with an additional Master of Business Administration degree, he most recently served as managing director of two companies in Berlin.

“I see the central challenge of my new role as ensuring that the Landschulheim Steinmühle boarding school positions itself for the future in an increasingly consolidated market environment. The boarding school must continue to guarantee that children and adolescents can develop and flourish to the fullest. In this context, I view our educational work as a mission to prepare students for a self-directed and sustainable life. The Landschulheim Steinmühle boarding school is ideally suited for this task thanks to its unique educational philosophy. Despite being operated by separate governing bodies, the school and the Landschulheim Steinmühle boarding school are two institutions closely linked to one another, which, in my view, creates the best conditions for the sustainable development of both institutions.”
