STONEWS – Interviews with Teachers and a Glimpse into the World
The Steinmühle is always happy to get “good press.” We were quite surprised when, a few months ago, our own students contributed to it: STONEWS was published—a new 16-page lower-grade newspaper in A4 format, created in the 5th-grade language workshop under the guidance of German and geography teacher Lisa Braun.
The team, consisting of Annabell Bork, Vivien Ettrich, Nela Haeberle, Felix May, Emma Schnabel, and Melina Wagner, conducted interviews with Steinmühlen teachers for the newspaper, addressed the topic of refugee policy, and developed a quiz to help people find out if they’re addicted to social media.
Second issue in the next half-year
According to teacher Lisa Braun, there will definitely be another issue of STONEWS in the coming semester. This time, 20 students—from the current 6th-grade classes and 5th-grade students—have already expressed interest in contributing. We wish them every success and are already looking forward to it.
