The school can count on Jan Audretsch

,

While Jan Audretsch achieved a result in last year’s Pangea Math Competition that earned him 1st place in Hesse and 7th place in Germany, he is also doing quite well this year in the Hesse Math Olympiad*: Jan (6b) has advanced to the third round of the Hesse Math Olympiad, which will take place on February 26 and 27 in Darmstadt. The top 20 or so students in each grade from Hesse qualify for this round.

We congratulate Jan and wish him the best of luck in the rest of the competition!

*Hesse State Round of the Math Olympiad

The Center for Mathematics organizes the Hesse Mathematics Olympiad (MOH) on behalf of the Hessian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs. The competition complements other successful competitions already taking place in Hesse and is aimed at Hesse students in grades 5 through Q4. Through this project, the Center for Mathematics also aims to reach children in grades 5, 6, and 7 in order to maintain and further strengthen their often very strong enthusiasm for mathematics.

The Hesse Math Olympiads were structured by the project leadership as a three-stage competition, with the top performers in each stage qualifying for the next stage.
