Despite it being vacation season, Steinm\u00fchle\u2014competing for the sixth consecutive year\u2014was able to field five relay teams at this year\u2019s Marburg Night Marathon. Temperatures of a good 30 degrees made running conditions difficult, especially for the first runners, but this did not detract from the team\u2019s overall performance or the spirit within the Steinm\u00fchle team. As a result, four of the five relay teams finished under the magic 4-hour mark. The strongest Steinm\u00fchle relay team was the eighth-grade group consisting of Robin Konnertz, Leonard Glock, Yasin Yilmaz, and guest runner Fabian Mankel, with a total time of 3:37:36 hours (41st place overall). The Steinm\u00fchle 1 relay team, consisting of Bj\u00f6rn Gemmer, Frank Wemme, Marc Bepperling, and high school senior Lasse Roggenkamp, also put in a very impressive performance (42:00 minutes for the final 11-kilometer lap). Their time of 3:45:36 hours placed them 59th out of 167 relay teams that started. Unfortunately, Steinm\u00fchle running legend Andreas Heiske was unable to compete in this relay due to an injury, but he took care of the on-site logistics as usual.
