The Bilingual Elementary School took a trip around the world over the course of three project days. Each day, the children had the chance to discover a different country and learn more about its music, games, food, clothing, and daily school life. <\/p>\n

A total of four countries around the world were each presented by two teachers: Guatemala, Scotland, Australia, and Canada. What is a typical school day like there? What kinds of food are served? What kind of clothes do people wear there, and what sights await visitors? What animals live in the country, and what\u2019s the weather like there?\u2014Question after question, all of which were answered in an informative way through stories and presentations in both words and pictures. <\/p>\n

Class in a Kilt<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs. Lori, assistant principal of the Bilingual Elementary School, teamed up with Cameron, a \u201creal\u201d Scotsman, to tell the children all about Scotland. The children got a firsthand look at what a kilt looks like in everyday life: Cameron was wearing one\u2014and posed for a photo with the entire group in the schoolyard as a farewell. Of course, a musical interlude featuring the bagpipes was a must. <\/p>\n

The students will surely remember these interesting days of class\u2014with their “field trips” to different countries\u2014for a long time to come.<\/p>\n
