We started the new year with some great news from Grade 6: students Romilda, Carla, Nika, and Tabea successfully participated in the 2024 reading competition for Grade 6 students at Steinm\u00fchle. The competition, which takes place at the end of every year, once again showcased the reading skills of our lower school students. <\/p>\n

All four of them knew how to bring the characters, the plot, and the atmosphere of their chosen passages to life and captivate their classmates\u2014who were listening from the steps of the open learning area in the Centrum\u2014with their readings. Whether it was about Ms. Honig, Harry Potter and his adversary, the youngest agent Ruby Redfort, or the Three Investigators: Romilda, Carla, Nika, and Tabea delivered impressive performances on Wednesday, December 11, in this second round as well, after having been named \u201cwinners\u201d within their classes in the weeks prior.<\/p>\n

Tabea is launching at the city level<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the end, the so-called \u201cexternal text\u201d\u2014which the students had to read\u2014proved to be the deciding factor, so the jury\u2014composed of the German teachers Lisa Braun, Dagmar M\u00fcller, Nina Merzenich, and Frank Wemme\u2014in consultation with the fellow students invited to help with the evaluation, Tabea Moses from class 6a\u2014selected her by a narrow margin to represent the school in the third round of the competition at the city level, expected to take place in February.
