While the 7th-grade classes organized a rowing event featuring a triathlon (rowing on the water and on the ergometer, as well as a relay race) at the boathouse and the 10th-grade classes held a volleyball tournament, the 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th-grade classes gathered at the main sports field. There, they competed in several disciplines from past Federal Youth Games and tested their skills in team sports tournaments (Grade 5: soccer; Grade 6: dodgeball; Grade 8: basketball; Grade 9: Frisbee). \u201cIn track and field, we canceled the 800-meter run as a precaution due to the high temperatures,\u201d reported school sports coordinator and organizer Michael Neirich.
