After Hesse secured victory in last year’s national quadrathlon, this year’s German Quadrathlon Championships (swimming, running, dressage, and show jumping) took place last weekend in Northern Hesse (F\u00fcrstenwald).<\/p>\n

A total of 12 teams from 10 federal states competed. Jana Vollhardt, a 10th-grade student in class 10a at Steinm\u00fchle, had qualified for the national competition in advance and, after an exciting weekend of competition, secured 3rd place with her team (Hesse II). Although her team was still in 10th place after the running and dressage events, the four girls from Hesse managed to move up to 4th place thanks to their outstanding swimming performances. The final jumping event on Sunday decided the outcome. A narrow lead in points was enough for the team to ultimately celebrate a spot on the winners\u2019 podium. <\/p>\n
