That was the case at Steinm\u00fchle this time as well, \u201cbecause we believe that dedication should be recognized even when it takes place outside of class,\u201d says Principal Bj\u00f6rn Gemmer. Whether in sports, cultural activities, science and math competitions, or volunteer work.  <\/p>\n<p>Divided into two groups\u2014grades 5 through 7 and 8 through 11\u2014dozens of students received certificates and a sweet treat. With the support of the student council team\u2014Bodam Lee and Caro Mauersberger\u2014as well as their colleague Malte Klimczak, the school administration honored young athletes, scientists, mathematicians, musicians, bookworms, film producers, and many more. Students were recognized for providing technical support at events, as well as for their social engagement and commitment to the community\u2014whether through fundraising for a good cause, volunteering with a club, or, for example, working in the school garden.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can only recognize what we know about or what has been brought to our attention,&#8221; concluded Principal Bj\u00f6rn Gemmer. So anyone who participates in extracurricular activities that fall into the categories mentioned may be a candidate for next year&#8217;s awards round. <\/p>\n<p><a
