The boarding school community set out on a field trip to Wiesbaden to spend the day together there. After a hearty brunch together, we took a tour bus to the state capital, where we first split into small groups to pursue our individual interests. In wintry temperatures, some of us laced up our skates to go ice skating. Some students also took the opportunity to explore the city. Others preferred to stay warm; they visited an exhibition at the Nature and Art Museum or Freudenberg Castle. There, we had the opportunity to sharpen our senses and experience the world in a whole new way\u2014for example, in a \u201cdark caf\u00e9\u201d or a \u201cdark corridor,\u201d as well as in a cold chamber at -20 \u00b0C. The Museum of Natural Art featured a special exhibition on mushrooms. For both naturalists and artists, this was an opportunity to view natural objects from a new perspective. <\/p>\n
The day ended with a group visit to a trampoline park. The entire boarding school community competed in jumping contests, plunged headfirst into mountains of foam, and navigated various obstacle courses. In addition to stamina, what was needed above all was the courage to face the challenges that lay ahead. <\/p>\n
Uninjured, exhausted, and full of new experiences, we set off for Marburg in the evening. That day, we had a lot of fun pushing our limits, gained new experiences and insights, and were able to leave our everyday lives behind. <\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
