She\u2019s just that good! For the third time, Naomi Skibbe, a 10th-grade student in class 10b, won first prize in the statewide \u201cOhne Punkt und Komma\u201d competition. This is a writing contest organized by the Hessian Ministry of Science and the Arts. <\/p>\n

The Steinm\u00fchlen student\u2019s winning streak began in 2014. At that time, she was among the top finishers with her story \u201cCheckmate\u201d; two years later, in 2016, she placed first again with her story \u201cA Beautiful Lie.\u201d This year, her entry was titled \u201cSoap Bubble\u201d and once again took first place. <\/p>\n

To ensure that the jury evaluates the entries impartially, they are always submitted anonymously. Each year, the jury selects five first-place and five second-place winners\u2014all of whom are ranked equally\u2014for each age group (12\u201313-year-olds and 14\u201315-year-olds) statewide. <\/p>\n

This year, the prize for the first-place winners consisted of a cash award of 350 euros. In addition, the 20 winning stories were published in a book, and each winner received four copies. <\/p>\n

The awards ceremony, hosted by Minister of State Boris Rhein, took place in early December in the theater hall of the K\u00fcnstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt am Main.<\/p>\n
