As a result, the outcome of the match was still up in the air heading into the two doubles matches and the mixed doubles, since Steinmühle needed to win at least one of those three remaining matches to secure the victory. The girls’ doubles team achieved this with a commanding victory, allowing Steinmühle to ultimately secure a well-deserved win with a score of 8–6 .

The second match of the group stage against the school from Bad Vilbel ended with a score of 3–11 . However, against a very strong opponent, the Steinmühle players demonstrated their potential in many closely contested rallies. With a bit more consistency, one or two matches could have gone differently. To reach the semifinals, our team was now dependent on help from the school in Bad Vilbel. The match between Bad Vilbel and Herborn was surprisingly close for a long time, but in the end, Bad Vilbel prevailed 8–6, thereby securing our team’s spot in the semifinals.

Semifinals:

In the semifinal against the Taunusschule from Bad Camberg , Steinmühle took a 6–2 lead after winning three singles matches convincingly. After the first four singles matches, the score was tied at 4–4, as both girls had won their matches convincingly, thereby offsetting the points lost in the boys’ singles. Once again, the final three matches would decide the outcome. In both doubles matches, the Steinmühle players once again demonstrated their full range of skills and gave their opponents no chance with their aggressive, high-pressure tennis.
