The upper-level choir, conducted by Mr. Sans, kicked off a cheerful celebration featuring entertaining speeches.   <u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Gemmer skillfully and entertainingly drew connections between Paul McCartney\u2019s birthday and the graduating class. Ms. Sersch and Ms. Walter read diary entries from a classmate, which brought back many memories from the class\u2019s history. The remarks by the two class representatives, Finn Busmann and Leon D\u00f6ringer, were also humorous and entertaining.  <\/p>\n<p>Finally, Ms. Bascha-D\u00f6ringer, speaking as a parent representative, gave a very personal account of her longstanding connection to the Steinm\u00fchle.  <u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Two high school graduates were honored for their outstanding performance on the Abitur: Leon D\u00f6ringer and Adrian Hamel both earned a perfect 1.0 on their Abitur exams. The Social Award, given for exceptional social commitment both inside and outside of school, was also presented to two recipients. Finn Busmann and Leon D\u00f6ringer received the award sponsored by the Friends of the School Association, which this year included a 1\/4-ounce \u201cAmerican Eagle 2016\u201d gold coin.
