<\/a><\/p>\nOn the night of Friday, March 4, through Saturday, March 5, seven students, accompanied by two teachers, set off on a very special trip to the beautiful Montafon Silvretta ski resort in Austria. We set off from Giessen at 12:45 a.m. in a comfortable tour bus. Our bus driver, Burghard\u2014who was quickly nicknamed \u201cFuhrpark\u201d\u2014took us safely to the slopes and back again. In Frankfurt, our tour guide joined us; he arranged breakfast in the early morning and handed out the ski passes.
\nShortly after arriving at the ski resort at 8:30 a.m., we were already standing in front of the gondola station. Unfortunately, we weren\u2019t alone, but that didn\u2019t dampen our spirits. Once we reached the top, about half an hour later, we tried to tackle the first run as a group. If one of us hadn\u2019t skied past the lift, it would have worked out. And this situation was bound to happen again. \u201cGo over there on the left\u2014number 50!\u201d shouted our ski ace Buchi, and the first one skied down the slope to the right. Despite some of us having a hard time distinguishing left from right, we spent the whole day on the slopes. Unfortunately, the weather was very foggy and it snowed a lot. Around 3:45 p.m., everyone met up again at the Schneebeben apr\u00e8s-ski party. We took the gondola down to the valley and to the tour bus, where, thankfully, our bus driver had already opened the doors. Once everything was packed away and the entire tour group was seated on the bus, Burghard\u2014aka \u201cFuhrpark\u201d\u2014drove us safely back to Giessen.
\nWe all agree that we can do this tour again next year. We had a great time and, completely exhausted, collapsed into bed at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at the Steinm\u00fchle. <\/p>\n
