That was really impressive: Of the 131 relay teams that took the starting line, 11 (eleven!) were wearing the Steinm\u00fchlen jersey. In addition to the half-marathon and marathon courses, the Marburg Night Marathon features a relay race in which teams of four runners each share the 42.2 km equally. <\/p>\n

The school administration and management\u2014but above all the project\u2019s initiator, our teacher Dr. Heiske\u2014had put out the word, and many, many people came: not only the athletic members of the faculty and student body, but also parents and alumni.<\/p>\n

And all the relay teams made it to the finish line\u2014a feat that deserves the highest praise, given the evening temperatures of around 30\u00b0! With temperatures at 35\u00b0C and the sun beating down, it wasn\u2019t exactly pleasant, especially for the lead runners, so no one could have expected personal bests under those conditions. Kai Bach, Niclas M\u00e4gerlein, and his mother Susanne M\u00e4gerlein deserve special respect for completing a half-marathon despite the heat. Special thanks go to the organizers, Dirk Konnertz and Dr. Andreas Heiske. <\/p>\n
