This year’s Musical Evening on May 21 once again offered both quantity and quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Grade 5 and 6 wind instrument classes<\/b><\/i> provided an atmospheric start, and the concert band, conducted by Stefan Reissig,<\/b><\/i> performed \u201cSiyahamba\u201d and \u201cAll Creatures of Our God\u201d with their usual confidence.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chamber Music Club, led by F. Wemme,<\/b><\/i> isn\u2019t just about Mozart; John Coltrane\u2019s jazz standard \u201cEquinox\u201d was one of the highlights of the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

With great dedication, the Sing&Swing group<\/b><\/i> \u2014composed of students from classes 5a and 6a\u2014performed \u201cJar of Hearts\u201d and \u201cLove Story\u201d on stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arthur Laux gave a compelling performance on the piano Arthur Laux<\/b><\/i> (9c) gave a compelling performance as a soloist and received a long round of applause following his rendition of Ludovico Einaudi\u2019s \u201cI Giorni.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Wever was a must-see with the WU \u201cStories and Songs from Around the World\u201d<\/b><\/i>. He never fails to inspire students with the international song repertoire. <\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cgrand finale\u201d was provided by the rock \u2019n\u2019 rollers from the 7th-grade classes<\/b><\/i>, who brought the event to a successful close with Fats Domino\u2019s \u201cI\u2019m Walking.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
