On December 10, visitors to our Christmas concert were treated to a colorful, diverse program: The well-known groups <\/span><\/span>Wind Instrument Class 6<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Grade 6 Swing & Sing Club<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Chamber Music Club<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span>, the <\/span><\/span>Concert Band<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>The Suited<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> …also showed their festive side. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span><\/span>Ruth Schwarz Duo<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> (flute) <\/span><\/span>and Gerhard Baum<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> (guitar) from the Marburg Music School were welcome guests, and they performed a superb piece of chamber music\u2014an Allegretto by F\u00fcrstenau.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The following people, in particular, did a great job of creating a festive Christmas atmosphere: <\/span><\/span>Flutes from Wind Instrument Class 6<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> featuring three traditional Christmas plays, <\/span><\/span>The Chamber Music Club<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> with <\/span><\/span>\u201cHow blessed I am to have Jesus\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>“A Child Is Born”<\/i><\/span><\/span> and the <\/span><\/span>WU Choir with Mr. Wever<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span>, who is the <\/span><\/span>“Snowball Fight”<\/i><\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>“Winter Wonderland”<\/i><\/span><\/span> performed. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>The students in the <\/span><\/span>Swing & Sing Club in 6th grade <\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span>put on a fantastic performance. They\u2019ve already gotten very good at combining singing and dancing to create a successful show.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are also two surprises worth mentioning: Our violinist\u2019s first singing performance <\/span><\/span>Bodam Lee<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> and the ensemble of singers and musicians <\/span><\/span>Teachers<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span> with Berlioz\u2019s <\/span><\/span>\u201cL\u2019adieu des bergers.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
